Thérèse Dussaut (France)

 

     Thérèse Dussaut, a former student of the professors Marguerite Long, Pierre Sancan in France, Vladimir Horbowski in Germany, and a daughter of the composers Robert Dussaut and Hélène Covatti, received her first awards – first prizes – and postgraduated at the Paris conservatory and in the Musikhochschule Stuttgart.

     1st Prize at the Munich International Competition, soloist of symphony orchestras, giving recitals in the entire world, she created such modern pieces as: Charles Chaynes piano concerto, Leon Mouravieff “Strophe, Antistrophe, Epode”. In France, as artistic director, she created the Festival en Cèvennes (1987-1996), the Rameau international competition (1991), a Summer university (1988-2000).

     She records CDs, serves as juror of grand international competitions (Tchaikovsky, Munich…), participates in master-classes organized by some Universities, Conservatories and Summer academies (US, Germany, Russia, Ukraine) and leads a Master-Class program in France at the Toulouse Conservatory.
