Volodymyr Mishchuk

            Volodymyr Mishchuk was born in 1968 in Leningrad. He got his music education in Leningrad Secondary Special Music School of the Leningrad Conservatory under Prof. V.Kunde and the Leningrad Conservatory under Prof.T.Kravchenko.

            He had raised his professional skills with professors D.Bashkirov, K.Shnabel, R.Turek, D.Fisher-Diskau.

            Volodymyr Mischuk is the prize winner of many prestigious competitions. He won the 1st prize in the Russian Pianists Competition in 1989, the 3rd prize in the “Bosendorfer Empire” Competition, Belgium in 1990, the 2nd prize in the IX International P.Tchaikovsky Competition, Russia in 1990.

            He performed actively in Russia and abroad performing with famous symphony orchestras and some distinguished conductors including V.Georgiev, M.Pletniov, E.Svetlanov, V.Chernushenko, U.Domarcas, K.Cobayasi. As a pianist he had recorded all works of S.Rachmaninov with BMG “Arte Nova” firm. These records have got wonderful reviews in the Western Europe, the USA and Japan.

            In 1992 Volodymyr Mishchuk became the faunder of the International Chamber Music Festival “Just Friends “. Since 1993 he has been engaged in the Piano Chair of the St.Petersburg Conservatory. Volodymyr Mishchuk has served on a number of International Juries.
