The Symphonic Orchestra

of the National Philharmonic Society of Ukraine

 

   

      The Symphonic Orchestra of the National Philharmonic Society of Ukraine was created in September of 1995. Since then the orchestra has been conducting its concert activity in the main concert hall of the capital of Ukraine – the Lysenko Hall of Columns, giving in concert seasons about 50 symphonic concerts.

      Soloists taking part in the orchestra concerts are well-known musicians:E.Virsaladze, V.Krainev, N.Gutman, L.Isakadze, N.Sharkman, S.Stadler, V.Ovchinnikov, T.Grindenko and others.

      It was conducted by outstanding composers such  as K.Penderecki, R. Kofman, O.Dmitriev, M.Theodorakis, and Yu.Nikolaevsky. The Orchestra has appeared in Germany (Munich Philharmony, Berlin Philharmony, Cologne Philharmony and others), in Spain, France and Korea.

 

 

 

 

 

Kirill Karabyts

(Ukraine)

 

     Kirill Karabyts was born in 1976 in Kyiv, finished Kyiv Lysenko Secondary Musical School (choir and orchestral department). Currently he is studing at P.Tchaikovsky National Musical Academy of Ukraine in Kyiv (Prof.Roman Kofman – orchestral conducting and Prof.Lev Venediktov – choral conducting). Since October 1998 he has been studying as graduate student of orchestral department of Vienna Academy of Music. In 1995-1996 he studied in Bach Academy, Stuttgart (Germany), and took International course/master classes for conductors at “Manuel de Falla Music Festival” (Spain).

    He has awards of prestigious music competitions: Prize of Danish Conductor’s Association, Denmark (May1998); Cultural Award of Austrian Albert Schweitzer Union, Vienna, Austria (October 1998); Medal “Star of Europe” of the “Foundation of Europe” awarded in Brussels, Belgium, by Prince Henrik of Denmark.

     Principal Guest Conductor of Ukrainian State Ensemle of Soloists “Kiev Camerata”, associate conductor of Budapest Festival Orchestra (musical director Ivan Fisher) and assistant conductor of the Symphonic Orchestra of Kiev National Philharmoniy.
